All Feelings Welcome employs experiential AR to communicate that our emotional states are not only complex, but often invisible; you are not alone in how you feel. The pop-up experience provides educational resources through animated videos and printed posters, urging its audience to accept their varied emotions and offer support to those who have a hard time asking for help.  

Large-scale posters stationed at Ohio community centers and  campuses feature twelve illustrated characters displaying neutral emotions.



When passersby scan the figures on the freestanding banner with their camera app, the character’s true emotions are revealed in augmented reality animations. Sad? Overwhelmed? Nervous? It’s all okay here, because all feelings are welcome. The playful animations make discussions of mental health feel approachable and safe.

With the illustrated characters anchoring the visual system, cheerful color and friendly type invite vulnerability and connection among passersby. 

The All Feelings Welcome experience has brought communities together at town hall events and university gatherings across the state of Ohio.
